The ‘Ikber Magħna’ centre in Marsaskala was inaugurated on Thursday 21st November 2024. Through the valuable efforts of Local Councillor, Ms Beverly Saliba, a Memorandum of Understanding between Optimist Club of Malta President, Mr Reuben M Buttigieg and Marsaskala Local Council Mayor, Mr Mario Calleja, was signed, inaugurating the ‘Ikber Magħna’ centre for the children of the same locality. The ‘Ikber Magħna’ centre in Marsaskala is generously sponsored by BNF Bank p.l.c.

The venue within the Marsaskala Local Council, allocated for this project is equipped with laptops, books, educational games and stationery which can be used by the children while doing their homework and study. The project also includes a variety of presentations and educational extracurricular activities that support these children’s growth outside of school hours and provide them experiences that will help them develop their character for years to come.

The ‘Ikber Magħna’ sessions will be held every Tuesday and Friday from 16.30 to 18.30, at Ċentru tal-Komunita’, 39, Sunset, Triq il-Kappara, Marsaskala; a project where children from the same locality will find the necessary assistance to continue learning, even after school hours.
